A note on the name: PMOS (previously known as PCOS) is the same common hormonal condition you may have heard called PCOS. As of 2026, the medical community is moving to the name PMOS, which stands for polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome. You will still see PCOS used in many places while the new name spreads.
